Doing something I thought I couldn’t do!

Second year we were told, in a lecture,  to not get complacent and try something different. So I did. The tutor said no one does any accessories. Well, that was me then, taking up the challenge and designing and knitting a bag. The only problem was, I couldn’t knit?! I love the effects knitting can give you so with my very good tutor, Alison. I mean she was brilliant and a very patient technician, Heather, I was able to put together this bag.

The bag is lined with denim jeans and belts are used for straps. U-Handbag is a good site to buy different parts to help you make your bag.

My bags colours were inspired by the little beehive I photographed in Bangor’s Wall Garden. Using the colours from the wall behind it as well.
