I entered a BA Bursary, quilting competition during my last year of university as part of my ‘graduate skills’ module in second semester. I enjoy quilting, as you can see from my February post, so I took the opportunity and entered my interpretation of the ‘wonder woman’ costume. Well, I should have announced earlier but have had so much happening but I got great news that I was shortlisted to the top five to display their work at the ‘Festival of Quilts’ in August at the NEC in Birmingham.

I was so overwhelmed and honoured to have been chosen. When I read more about the festival I realised that it will be more than just the competition, it will be about being allowed to display my work the length of the festival because the competition is judged and announced on the first day and we don’t have to take our work down! That in its self is brilliant! How wonderful is that?
So the reason for me doing the craft fair this Saturday,
is to raise money to cover the cost of getting over there and to help with my accommodation. So I’m frantically trying to make stock to sell.
I’m really looking forward to the experience of the event.
That’s amazing so happy for you. You realky deserve this you have so much passion for what you do.
